Seven questions to answer before writing your AI policy

A policy that nobody reads won't change behaviour. Start with these questions instead.

Before drafting a word, agree on what you want AI to do for learning in your school, and what you never want it to replace.

Then answer the practical questions: which tools are allowed, for which tasks, at which ages, and how students should show their AI use.

Finally, plan how you will communicate it. The best policies are short, specific and repeated often by every teacher.
